A visit to the Grund garden in Nagyvárad

James visits the Grund garden in Nagyvárad and gets close to Nature

I visited Grund School community garden in Nagyvárad today. Allotments tended mainly by old people (who have time) but also plots where school kids learn about Nature and gardening - see photo of their spiral garden.

Regular activities for young kids including ones with downs and autism. It’s an old family’s garden and they’ve let it be used by Grund School rather than being turned over to housing. We heard nightingales and blackcaps in full Spring song. They’re still looking some support for this year’s budget if anyone is interested. Grund School does wonderful work with children of all abilities and walks of life in Nagyvarad and beyond.
