Biointensive Group Meet
It's always worthwhile and inspiring to see how fellow growers manage, to exchange tricks and ideas of the proffession.
This week on Monday we hosted in the morning a group of young growers from the Agroecological Network biointensive growers group (of which we are a part). We had a really interesting tour around our garden and Bálint Péter and Papp Orsi's gardens (other organic growers in Zsámbok) and in the afternoon the whole group went over to see Bolvári Csába's very well managed and beautifully kept (super-intensive) bio-intensive market garden in Galgahévíz (Chez Molnár Csaba and Marika). We had a really interesting tour, and Bolvari Csaba showed us around a lot of his innovative methods and explained his growing methods. We were treated to a delicious lunch by our hosts, Molnár Csaba and Marika, and we had a live discussion on what we had seen that day, comparing the various holdings we had visited. It is great to be part of a larger group of enthusiastic organic/agroecological growers who are dedicated to producing healthy, environmentally sound vegetables.
