Coolness
We are really glad for this spell of cooler weather,
especially nights, after the intense summber heat. We find that getting decent germination of crops more and more difficult over the summer, as the climate changes, so this is a great time, while the nights are a bit cooler, to get some late crops sown (radishes, spinach, turnips, rocket, etc). This is a busy time for us in the garden, as we still need to maintain (weed, hoe, control for pests) on our summer crops, whilst at the same time get our late crops sown or planted out. It tends to be a challenge, as the team is often tired after a long summer, but the effort we can put in now is usually rewarded with handsome crops later in the autumn.
