Flame-weeding
We have started to work
more with machinery in an effort to produce more of our own winter storable veg. Here Matthew is trying out the flameweeder we inherited from Mahlitzsch, the farm near Dresden where Áron worked. Flameweeding is a technique used on some slow germinating crops (like onions and carrots) before they germinate, to knock out the first germination of competing weeds.
