Not knowing how the week would be, we quickly harvested the black radish, beetroot and turnips from the experimental plot we planted up at the end of the summer. These crops are beautiful, and we expect to have a good quantity of cabbage, savoy cabbage, some red cabbage, over the months ahead.
The real corners of the market gardening year are set by the last and first frosts of the season - this for us means moving over the next weeks from outside crops to our winter polytunnel crops.
