This week has been a busy one for visits. We like to have visitors to share our experiences and learn about people's experiences elsewhere. On Monday we had a visit from MATE university, undergraduates in horticulture and agriculture. We had a full tour around the garden, and discussed how we manage fertility, how we manage plant health and how the sales from the farm work. Biology, community and balanced ecosystems are the common themes throughout. On Tuesday we had a group of academics from Bulgaria, Romania and Turkey, as well as from Hungary, who are looking at plant health systems for an EU project, and on Friday we hosted a group of young French people from an NGO in France which looks at how to multiply knowledge and skills connected with low-tech systems for energy, for resource conservation, for production and for food and farming. After the lock-downs last year it is good to have face to face meetings again with the wider world.
