This week Emese and the rest of the team began early sowings in the propagation tunnel (palántaző) - this includes a good selection of salads, brokkoli and other brasscias as well as onions - some of these take weeks others months to be ready, but happily the hotbeds in the propagation tunnel are firing away, so hopefully all seedlings get off to a good start.
Meanwhile, Matthew has been exploring what similar small scale growers in middle Italy are doing at this time of year - surprisingly similar to us!
